Appreciating our Native Peoples
Plans are underway to hold a Camporee on the SDA Pugwash, Nova Scotia campgrounds on August 6-8, 2010.
The events planned will reflect the daily life of the native peoples and their belief in the Creator. There will be guest presenters. It will be a fun and learning packed week-end.
Who can attend:
You need to be an organized club registered with your conference. Having a class A or club uniform.
Because space is limited, the number of campers allowed is two hundred. In order to further our plans we need to have an idea as to who may wish to attend so we are asking to pre register your club and number of campers by November 30, 2009. That will also allow us to notify you when our website is up and running. Final registration will be April 30, 2010.
Suggested honors to work on for the Camporee:
Indian Lore - Because of the Camporee’s theme it is suggested that all attending Pathfinders earn this honor
Archery - A must to enter the Archery contest
Cultural Diversity Appreciation
Canoeing - A must to enter the races
Edible Wild Plants
Leather Craft
Basketry
